Are you a hands-on accounting professional ready to lead a high-performing team in a dynamic and rewarding environment? We're partnering with a well-established company in Santa Cruz, CA to find an experienced and motivated Accounting Manager who thrives in leadership and operational finance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily accounting operations, ensuring compliance with company goals and industry regulations
• Manage month-end and year-end close processes; prepare and analyze financial and operational reports
• Lead the budgeting and forecasting process
• Maintain and improve accounting systems and internal controls
• Supervise and develop two accounting team members, including performance management and scheduling
• Prepare for and lead year-end audit processes
• Provide strategic input for department planning and continuous improvement initiatives
• Analyze and audit general ledger, accounts payable (A/P), and accounts receivable (A/R)
• Identify process inefficiencies and implement effective solutions
• Perform additional duties as needed

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 2-4 years of experience in accounting management or a similar leadership role
• Strong leadership and coaching skills
• Exceptional attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving ability
• Excellent communication skills and sound organizational judgment
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate across departments
• Proficiency with accounting systems and financial reporting tools

Compensation & Benefits:

• Salary: $110,000 - $130,000 annually, depending on experience
