St. John Bosco High School, a Catholic all-boys college preparatory school rooted in the Salesian tradition, is seeking a dynamic and mission-driven Activities Director to lead our student life programming. The ideal candidate is a relational and highly organized leader who will foster a joyful, engaging, and faith-filled campus culture. Grounded in the Oratory Model of St. John Bosco, this position empowers students through meaningful co-curricular engagement, student leadership development, and holistic formation guided by the Salesian pillars of reason, religion, and loving-kindness. This is a mission-critical leadership role requiring a blend of creativity, strategic foresight, pastoral sensitivity, and consistent follow-through. The Activities Director ensures all student events, clubs, and leadership programs reflect the school’s values, enhance student well-being, and build a vibrant and inclusive community. Responsibilities (including, but are not limited to, the following): Service as a visible and relational presence across campus, fostering a sense of belonging and brotherhood. Model the Salesian Oratory Model and Preventive system in all interactions with students, families and staff. Mentor student leaders with a focus of personal formation, faith, and servant leadership. Supervise and evaluate all clubs, organizations, and class moderators. Plan and oversee student events including rallies, dances, assemblies, social events and guest speaker programs. Ensure coordination of all student events with academics, athletics, and campus ministry calendars. Serve on the Graduation. Commencement planning team. Be Present for all major events, remaining until all students are safely dismissed. Coordinate ASB elections, onboarding, and training. Implement a student leadership development curriculum grounded in Catholic Best practices in adolescent leadership formation. Requirements Qualifications (minimum requirements): Bachelor’s degree in education, or a related Field. At least three years of experience in student life, leadership formation, or event coordinator in University and a High School (Preferably in a private high school settings) Practicing Catholic in good standing who embraces the teaching of the Catholic Church. Experience with students’ leadership development and co-curricular programming. Strong understanding of adolescent development and relational ministry Ability to communicate effectively and professionally, both on an internal and external basis, using excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to express oneself clearly and concisely, displaying a positive attitude Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects. Ability to work collaboratively with students, faculty, staff, and families. Availability for evening and weekend responsibilities. Proficiency in event planning software, communication platforms, and digital tools.
