Rye Country Day School is seeking a Head Varsity Cross Country Coach beginning August 18, 2025 (pre-season). Rye Country Day School is a coeducational, Prek-12, college preparatory school located in Westchester County, New York dedicated to providing students with an excellent education using both traditional and innovative approaches. Specific responsibilities of the position include: Effectively planning and organizing both practices and meet calendars Teaching and training a co-ed team comprised of beginner through advanced level cross country athletes Creating an inclusive, exciting, and challenging environment each day Collaborating with the assistant coaches in planning and communication Maintaining a safe environment at all times Communicating with athletes, parents, coaches, and opponents in a professional manner Desired qualifications: Minimum of 3-years successful coaching experience with adolescents in this age group A passion for athletic competition and the ability to motivate and inspire athletes Excellent written and verbal communication skills Commitment to building a diverse, equitable and inclusive school community Energetic and enthusiastic, flexible and patient RCDS seeks faculty and staff who support our mission to foster a lifelong passion for learning, understanding, and service in an ever-changing world, and who share our commitment to creating and sustaining a vibrant, thriving, and inclusive multicultural learning community.
