Job Overview:

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Long-Haul Driver to join our team. As a Long-Haul Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods over long distances, ensuring timely and safe delivery. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits.

Duties:

- Drive commercial vehicles, such as roll-off trucks, dump trucks, or delivery trucks, to transport goods

- Plan and follow designated routes to ensure on-time deliveries

- Properly uses time clocks, fuel system, and the tarp system.

- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on vehicles to ensure their safe operation

- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving

- Properly fills out the Driver’s Vehicle Inspection Reports.

- Complies with all Federal, State, and local laws, ordinances, rules, regulations, and statutory documentation requirements.

-Cleans up the inside of the truck cab at the end of his/her shift.

-Completes assignments on schedule.

-Perform other such duties necessary or required or as requested by the Aggregate Driver Supervisor.

-Attends and actively participates in the quarterly safety meetings.

- Keeps in touch with the Aggregate Dispatcher on a timely basis and follows the directions of the Aggregate Dispatcher.

-Keeps the dispatcher informed on a timely basis of problems in meeting delivery schedules due to mechanical breakdowns, road conditions or other factors.

Requirements:

-Minimum of two years of driving a commercial vehicle in a safe and efficient manner.

- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record

-Medical Examiner's certificate

- Proven experience as a long-haul driver or in a similar role

- Strong attention to detail and time management skills

- Excellent communication and customer service skills

-Reports to work on time on a consistent basis and doesn't abuse personal time off.

-Demonstrate good judgement and problem solving

-Maintains cooperative working relationships and professionalism with supervisor, co-workers, and supply vendors.
