Codaray Construction is seeking an Assistant Project Manager for the Ridgeland, MS Office.

The position will primarily be responsible for assisting with the management and coordination of multiple commercial construction projects and will communicate directly with the Project Manager, Project Superintendent and subcontractors on a routine basis.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepares a draft of the project schedule
  • Assists with the buyout process of subcontracts and purchase orders after a project has been assigned
  • Coordinates efforts between the general contractor, subcontractor, and material procurement
  • Completes submittals and RFI’s
  • Approves vendor bills electronically for project costs
  • Assisting the Project Manager as directed

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction/engineering or equivalent combination of technical training and related experience required
  • Two (2+) years’ experience in construction, design, finance, and management preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Efficiency in Microsoft Office and other construction software utilized by the company
  • Ability to lead team members in an effective yet positive manner
  • Ability to interpret construction documents
  • Self-motivated and ability to adapt to assigned tasks

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on computer
  • Driving to meeting and job sites
  • 25+ pounds heavy lifting
  • Visiting sites for pre-bids and evaluations (climbing stairs, ladders, etc.)
  • 20/20 vision (with or without correction); talking; hearing (with or without aid); and typing/computer entry.

DRIVER LICENSE REQUIREMENTS

  • Current valid driver’s license.
  • Favorable driving record required for company vehicle or auto allowance.
