Assistant Project Manager

Who We Are

We are a 25+-year-old general contractor with experience in a diverse range of industries, including education, multi-family, industrial, government, office, retail, etc. We are looking for an Assistant Project Manager to add to our growing team at our Santa Rosa, CA office. This role will have a career path to a Project Manager position.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in coordinating all aspects of assigned projects, including scheduling, material ordering, and resource allocation, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines.
• Maintain up-to-date and accurate project documentation, including contracts, change orders, RFIs, submittals, and daily reports, ensuring all records meet company standards and industry regulations.
• Work closely with subcontractors to ensure they understand project scope, expectations, and timelines; monitor performance and coordinate activities to prevent delays.
• Conduct site inspections and quality checks to ensure work aligns with plans, specifications, and building codes, promptly addressing any discrepancies or issues that arise.
• Assist with budgeting, track project expenses, and manage cost-control measures, preparing regular financial updates to help keep the project within budget.
• Maintain clear, proactive communication with clients, architects, and internal stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status and addressing any concerns or requests.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as a Project Engineer at a general contractor or similar role
• Experience with commercial and/ or public construction projects
