We are seeking a skilled and versatile  Audio Visual (AV) Technician with hands-on experience in installing, configuring, and programming  LED video walls ,  audio systems , and  event lighting for  trade shows and live events . This individual will also serve as a secondary  Exhibit Technician when needed, providing flexibility and support across departments. The ideal candidate is a team player who can thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and can step into a  supervisory role on show site , especially when union labor coordination is required.

• Install, cable, program, and troubleshoot  LED video walls , including pixel mapping and media server integration.
• Set up and operate  sound systems and  event lighting , ensuring proper placement, tuning, and control integration.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, floorplans, and show documentation.
• Coordinate with project managers, production staff, and clients to meet onsite AV requirements.
• Supervise and direct  union labor crews during setup, show run, and strike, ensuring compliance with local regulations and quality standards.
• Act as a liaison between AV and exhibit teams to support  exhibit installations , including booth assembly, monitor mounting, and basic interactive elements.
• Maintain and prepare equipment pre-show and post-show; report equipment needs and malfunctions.
• Ensure show site safety and cleanliness in all work areas.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues under time-sensitive conditions.

• 3+ years of experience in the  AV or live events industry , with a focus on  LED video walls ,  sound , and  lighting .
• Strong understanding of  video processors ,  media servers ,  DMX lighting control , and  digital audio systems .
• Familiarity with brands like  Absen ,  ROE ,  Analog Way ,  Barco ,  QSC ,  Shure ,  MA Lighting , etc., is a plus.
• Ability to read technical drawings and adapt onsite.
• Experience working in  trade show environments and interacting with clients and vendors professionally.
• Experience supervising  union labor a strong plus.
• Willingness to travel frequently and work irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required by show schedules.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical tasks in a warehouse or show floor setting.

• Working knowledge of exhibit booth construction and basic carpentry/installation techniques.
• Forklift/scissor lift certification is a plus.
• OSHA 10/30 or other relevant safety training.
