As a Behavioral Health Technician I, you will provide direct and supportive care to clients/patients, ensuring their safety and well-being. Your responsibilities will include monitoring health signs, intervening in crises, facilitating group activities, and maintaining a therapeutic environment. Your work will directly contribute to enhancing the quality of care and support for individuals in our facility. Key Responsibilities include admitting, supervising, monitoring, transferring, and discharging clients/patients; monitoring vital signs and assessing withdrawal symptoms, escalating to medical personnel as needed; administering and documenting medications per policy and procedure; maintaining safety protocols and facilitating structured activities and rehabilitative support; documenting client behaviors and interactions accurately; facilitating the admission/orientation process; encouraging adherence to program expectations in a trauma-informed manner; collaborating with the treatment team; maintaining a safe environment and reporting any maintenance or safety concerns. Education and experience qualifications include a high school education or equivalent with two years of responsible employment, preferred experience in Human Services or related field, knowledge of confidentiality laws, strong communication skills, ability to operate within established procedures, and basic keyboarding skills. Employment requirements include successful background checks, current driver's license, First Aid and CPR certifications within three months, and completion of mandatory training including Behavioral Management training within thirty days. Physical requirements involve sedentary work with occasional exertion up to 10 pounds and ability to perform repetitive hand and arm movements.
