smartdept. is searching for a Copywriter for a consulting firmclient located in Chicago, IL . The ideal candidate will come with 3+ years of copywriting experience in the technology industry. This is a part-time (around 5 hours per week) , remote , ongoing contract opportunity. This person must be local to the Chicago area . Compensation for this position is expected to be $25-$30/hour depending on experience level and fit. What You’ll Do: Write engaging and on-brand copy for a variety of materials including website content, blog posts, social media updates, email campaigns, advertisements, and promotional materials. Conduct thorough research to understand target audiences, market trends, and competitors. Develop content strategies that align with marketing goals and client objectives. Review and edit copy to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to brand voice and style guidelines. Work closely other team members to brainstorm and execute creative concepts. Participate in meetings to discuss project goals, deadlines, and deliverables. What You’ll Need: Proven experience as a copywriter in the tech space, with a strong portfolio showcasing diverse writing samples. Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail. Ability to write in various styles and tones to suit different audiences and platforms. Experience with SEO practices and tools is a plus. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
