We are in search of a Corporate Chef to join our team located in downtown Cincinnati. This position will be in our downtown, Cincinnati office. Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities - Assists the Corporate Executive Chef in the daily activities of the kitchen, including menu development, inventory and purchasing supplies, and cost control.
- Tests, develop, standardizes, and prepares recipes in the creation of menus for recommendation to Corporate Executive Chef to optimize guest satisfaction.
- Oversee the activities of the kitchen staff and monitor food production and presentation in conjunction with and in the absence of the Corporate Executive Chef.
- Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local health and sanitation regulations, including the Board of Health.
- Implements, monitors, and may participate in designing methods to ensure compliance with regulations.
- Supervises audits of dining facilities to ensure compliance with policies, legal requirements, codes, standards, and regulations.
- Monitors ServSafe certification status for kitchen staff.
- Ensure that all stations remain stocked before and during the meal period(s).
- Ensures that all recipes, food preparations, and presentations meet specifications and commitment to quality.
- Follows recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications as directed in a sanitary and timely manner.
- Assists in ensuring special dietary considerations are followed.
- Build and maintain advanced knowledge of cooking trends and practices. Research ideas for new recipes and cooking techniques.
- Cleans and maintains stations practicing good safety, sanitation, and organization skills.
- Ensures meal quality and guest satisfaction.
- Provides training for new members to the team/unit.
- Provides guidance and assistance to less experienced kitchen and dining room staff.
- May have responsibility for performance and coaching of staff and may have a participatory role in decisions regarding talent selection, development, and performance management for direct reports.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent. Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience preferred.
Culinary Arts or related discipline.
Generally, 5 to 7 years of related hospitality/restaurant experience. May require ServSafe certification.
