Job Summary

Your idea of a good time is gathering and harnessing data, analyzing for insights, and communicating your findings. When given a challenge or question, your natural instinct is to dig in and find out “why.” You know your way around analytics tools and relational databases and can build smart dashboards that deliver. You are an analytical, critical thinker who generates actionable insights to enhance business practices, sales, marketing, and customer experience.

This position reports to the PAC Senior Director of Operations and works closely with several departments, including Information Technology and the CEO.

Our primary sister associations include Associated Bodywork & Massage Professionals (ABMP), Associated Skin Care Professionals (ASCP,) and Associated Hair Professionals (AHP). PAC is situated in the foothills west of Golden, Colorado. We have a beautiful view of the spectacular Colorado high country. Our empowering environment is filled with high-energy, talented people who share your enthusiasm. We embrace a hybrid work environment. Tuesday through Thursday we work from our mountain office; Mondays and Fridays we have the option to work from home.

 

Core Responsibilities

  • Own day-to-day processes and infrastructure for the collection, analysis, and reporting of key metrics across all PAC operating businesses.
  • Responsible for various data-focused projects to support planning/forecasting, ongoing operations, and corporate development, as necessary.
  • Support requests from staff across the organization to query datasets from customer management system/relational database.
  • In charge of performance analytics and key learnings for PAC’s marketing campaigns and channels (e.g., social media, email, etc.).
  • Develop insights and recommendations to help drive membership growth and improve member experience and retention.
  • Create and maintain regular marketing and business reporting, including distributing weekly reports and dashboard creation/maintenance.
  • Focus on business intelligence and marketing insights with other research, analytics, and database projects.
  • Make an estimated 25 expired member outreach calls per week (a duty shared by PAC employees) to help members renew their membership.

  • Extract and manipulate data from a variety of systems and offline reporting, utilizing tools to analyze data, as necessary.
  • Sanitize and correlate disparate sources of data to drive business initiatives.
  • Exercise inquisitive mindset to transform business questions into actionable data exploration exercises, as well as take reported data and shape it into actionable business take-aways.
  • Translate insights into effective presentations that are outcome- and action-oriented, supported by data storytelling.
  • Display intellectual curiosity, attention to detail, initiative, self-reliance, and solid project management skills.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and be excited to shift from high-level critical thinking to hands-on routine tasks to get the job done.
  • Display excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communications skills.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Show discretion and protect extremely confidential information.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess many of the following:

  • 3+ years of relevant work and/or academic experience in a quantitative environment
  • Proficiency in writing SQL queries and pulling data from various sources
  • Proficiency in extracting data from a large, transactional database
  • Proficiency in scrubbing and cleaning data
  • Experience in Microsoft Office analytics software is preferred, including:

Power BI

Microsoft OneLake

Azure Analysis Services

Microsoft Fabric

Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL

ETL for SQL data into Microsoft Fabric

Excel

  • Proficiency in Google Analytics
  • Experience with SEM Rush a bonus
  • Experience with statistical analysis using R, Python, or similar languages a bonus
  • A bachelor’s degree or the equivalent work experience is desired

For this salaried, exempt position, the competitive compensation range is $85,000–$95,000 a year.

 

The pay for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), and other law.
