Data Entry Clerk

Shift/Hours: Monday - Friday; 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Pay Range: $16- $18 /hr DOE Location: Fort Myers, FL

Job Responsibilities:

• Input data into various computer systems and databases with speed and accuracy
• Verify and validate data to ensure completeness and correctness of information
• Organize and maintain digital and physical filing systems
• Update existing data and remove outdated or redundant information
• Retrieve data and generate reports as requested by management
• Scan and upload documents, ensuring proper categorization and indexing
• Respond to data-related queries from colleagues and clients in a timely manner
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
• Identify and report any inconsistencies or errors in data

Skills Required:

• Proficiency in data entry software and Microsoft Office suite (especially Excel)
• Excellent typing speed and accuracy (minimum 50 WPM with 98% accuracy)
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain focus for extended periods
• Basic understanding of database structures and data management principles
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Adaptability to learn new software and systems quickly
• Time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
• Basic problem-solving skills to troubleshoot minor data-related issues
