Director, Component and Volunteer Relations Join to apply for the Director, Component and Volunteer Relations role at American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) Overview The Director of Component and Volunteer Relations is a key leader within the District and Section Activities Team. This role involves developing, evaluating, and improving volunteer engagement strategies, overseeing district managers, and ensuring a consistent volunteer experience across all levels. Responsibilities Lead and guide District and Section programming, including meetings and ad-hoc activities aligned with strategic priorities. Develop strategies to enhance member engagement and support district and section leadership. Streamline workplan development processes and support leadership activities. Build and maintain professional relationships with stakeholders. Manage department budget in collaboration with senior leadership. Ensure compliance with federal and state requirements affecting components and programs. Serve as a strategic liaison within the organization. Team Development Foster a culture of transparency and operational excellence. Set goals, monitor performance, and provide feedback to team members. Support at Annual Meetings Coordinate district awards and recognition programs. Manage booth and special events at the Annual Clinical and Scientific Meeting. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree and/or 10+ years in non-profit or healthcare settings. Leadership experience managing teams and volunteers. Preferred certifications: CAE or CMP. Exceptional organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, AirTable, and association management systems. Willingness to travel and work outside regular hours as needed. Additional Information This is a hybrid position based in Washington, D.C., with a salary range of $110,000 - $125,000.
