Job Description

Company:

David creates tools to increase muscle and decrease fat. Our first product is a protein bar. More broadly, David is a platform to develop high-protein, low-calorie, blood-sugar-friendly foods that are craveable.

This is a compelling opportunity to be a part of an exciting new food brand as we operate within a critical growth stage. David is led by CEO Peter Rahal, the Cofounder and Former CEO of RXBAR ($600M exit to Kellogg in 2017). We have strong aspirations to become the most popular high-protein bar in North America and beyond.

Role:

David is seeking a full-time Director of Creative Operations to lead our in-house Creative Team in NYC. This is an in-office role, Monday through Friday. You’ll report directly to David’s President. You will partner with our Creative Director and manage the priorities and people of the Creative function. You will further collaborate closely with the Growth, Social Media, Supply Chain, and Retail teams to execute and deliver a wide range of visual assets.

This role is for someone who is adept at managing priorities and the team of people who will achieve those priorities. This person will thrive in a fast-paced, ever-evolving creative environment. We’re running a high-volume, high-velocity content engine, which includes brand campaigns, retainer photo and video shoots, ad production, evergreen content, and more. The ideal candidate is a solutions-oriented leader who can architect processes, drive clarity across cross-functional teams, and guide high-quality creative execution from concept through delivery.

You should be highly connected in both the NYC and LA production worlds, with a strong track record of leading shoots and delivering high-quality assets across a variety of formats. A deep understanding of the creative industry, from emerging photographers and directors to production vendors and cultural trends is essential. We're looking for someone who knows what’s relevant, what’s next, and how to bring it all together with taste and efficiency.

On top of photo and video shoot production planning, you will manage the day-to-day creative team. You will be a key thought partner in bringing the Creative Director’s vision to life through production, process, people, budget, and priority management. On top of that, you will manage the priorities of the Creative team that come from requests from other functions (like ad creation for Growth or packaging edits for Supply Chain).

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the people, budget, and priorities of the Creative function to bring David’s creative vision to life (set by the Creative Director)
  • Help set and operate within the Creative functions budgets to achieve our creative goals as best as possible
  • Manage the full production cycle across multiple types of shoots: campaigns, social content, paid ads, evergreen assets under the Creative Director
  • Own logistics including timelines, budgets, vendors, casting, crew, locations, call sheets, and day-of execution
  • Partner closely with the Creative Director to understand and execute creative vision
  • Act as liaison between Creative, Growth, Social, Supply Chain, and Retail teams to align on deliverables, timelines, and post-production workflows (most work will be between Creative and Growth)
  • Collaborate with the Creative Director and manage in-house designers to ensure that branding, copy, and graphic elements are integrated into final assets as needed
  • Manage our (future) in-house video editor to oversee the internal editing process is on schedule and ensure quality, consistency, and creative alignment
  • Build and maintain a network of top-tier production talent (directors, photographers, stylists, editors, etc.)
  • Stay on top of cultural trends, creative talent, and media formats across fashion, beauty, wellness, and CPG
  • Ensure shoots are on time, on budget, and aligned with brand quality and tone
  • Manage project wrap-ups, including asset delivery, licensing, and archival
  • Oversee post-production process including edit reviews, versioning, and approvals from the creative director
  • Mentor, support, and inspire a high-performing creative team of designers, editors, and producers by providing clear priorities, thoughtful feedback, and opportunities for growth

What you’ll bring:

  • 5+ years of experience in Production, Creative Operations, or Project Management within in-house creative teams, agencies, or fast-paced brand environments; experience in CPG, Beauty, Wellness, or Lifestyle categories is highly preferred
  • Experience building and optimizing creative workflow systems (e.g., Asana, Airtable, Notion) to manage cross-functional priorities, increase visibility, and drive on-time delivery of assets
  • Strong cross-functional leadership and communication skills, with experience aligning Creative with Growth, Product/R&D, Supply Chain, and Retail teams (or similar) in a high-velocity production environment.
  • Proven ability to translate strategic briefs into actionable shot lists and asset plans, grounded in deep knowledge of end-to-end production workflows across brand, performance, and social content.
  • Rolodex of photographers, directors, stylists, editors, and production vendors in NYC and LA
  • Proven ability to manage fast-paced productions across a range of output (social, paid, web, campaign, OOH)
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects
  • Sharp creative instincts and high taste level—you know what good looks like
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills across cross-functional teams
  • Culturally plugged in with a pulse on what’s current and who’s shaping the visual landscape across industries
  • Experience working with brands in beauty, CPG, fashion, or wellness, is a major plus

Practicalities:

  • This is a full-time, in-office role based in New York City. We work onsite five days a week — when the culture fits, it is fun to be in the office together.
  • Salary: 130K - $170K per year, inclusive of cash bonus based on attainment of company targets.
  • Company equity opportunity on top of cash compensation.
  • 100% covered Health, Vision, Dental Insurance.
  • 401(k) with 4% match.
  • Additional perks, such as covered gym expenses.
  • Substantial and required PTO.

Application Process :

  • Applications will be evaluated on a rolling basis
  • Target start date: August 2025
