Overview KBR’s National Security Solutions team provides high-end engineering and advanced technology solutions to our customers in the intelligence and national security communities. In this position, your work will have a profound impact on the country’s most critical role – protecting our national security. Responsibilities Validate an Environmental Management Plan (EMP) detailing all requirements to be fulfilled across the project packages and submitted. The EMP should describe the required procedures, document/record management, and communication protocols, systems, structures, and include tools, templates and checklists to be implemented by Contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, service providers and other project stakeholders as applicable, for the successful execution of environmental requirements. Conduct annual internal audits on the EMP implementation and submit to the Environmental Manager. Ensure corrective and preventive actions, as well as improvement measures, are managed by the Construction Supervision Consultant. Validate the Contractor’s pre-construction survey in accordance with requirements, reviewed and approved by the Construction Supervision Consultant. Establish processes to monitor, measure, control and report on Environmental issues against the Project’s Environmental Impact Assessment – EIA, and Construction Environmental Management Plans – CEMP. Review and validate Construction Environmental plans of all Contractors. Lead and manage regular coordination meetings with all Construction Supervision Consultant and Contractors. Prepare monthly environmental and sustainability reports. Review, validate and issue incident reports on environmental compliance of construction and develop and manage the implementation of corrective actions. Assist and coordinate submission documentation and required applications, NOCs and approvals from the NCEC. Advise on environmental policies and regulatory requirements, while ensuring applicability to projects and implementation on site. Direct liaison with all levels of construction and site management, regulatory authorities; also, with complementary disciplines such as logistics and health and safety. Provide supervision, instruction, mentoring, training, assessment, review, technical input, monitoring, rectification, remediation, auditing, and coordination related to environmental compliance of all construction activities involved within the assigned projects. Qualifications Clearance Requirement: TS/SCI with willingness to sit for a poly upon request Minimum 5 years of experience Must be a US Citizen BS in Engineering from ABET-accredited program, PE license in Virginia and Maryland 4 years total experience and minimum of 2 years’ experience in construction site management of environmental issues with GCC experience Experience in strategic and development control planning and liaison and coordination with regulatory authorities Experience in the carrying out of site surveys and EIAs, and CEMP implementation and auditing Production of weekly and monthly reports demonstrating level of compliance of consultants and contractors Desired BSc/Diploma in Environmental Science / Engineering or similar Compensation Basic Compensation: $86,200 - $129,300 This range is for the Maryland area only The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity. Additional Compensation: KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of sign-on bonus, relocation benefits, short term incentives, long term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
