Job SummaryThe Public Utilities Commission (PUC) is hiring their next Financial Analysis supervisor. This position is responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and evaluating the activities of the multi-disciplinary staff of the Financial Analysis Unit at the Commission to assure that Commissioners have the information necessary to make informed regulatory decisions in an orderly and timely fashion. The general areas of focus of the Unit are issues related to electric and natural gas utility finances and rate recovery; including revenue requirement, rate of return, sales true ups, depreciation, capital structure, acquisitions, affiliated interest agreement, and other financial issues.
Please note: As of June 1st, 2025, this position will have a flexible work arrangement that allows for up to 50% telework with a minimum of 50% working in at the Commission offices in Saint Paul, Minnesota per month.
Qualifications Minimum QualificationsBachelor's degree or higher in Law, Finance, Accounting, or Statistics; AND a combination of six (6) years of professional-level experience in financial analysis supervision, government, the utility industry, or other entity with primary focus on utility regulation or issues.
OR
Seven (7) years of professional-level experience related to electric and/or natural gas utility services with a focus on regulatory financial issues.
