Job Description

Our client is looking to fill the role of Financial Services Senior Internal Audit Associate. This position is located in Los Angeles, CA.

• Salary: $95,000 – $110,000

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with project teams on internal audit engagements for financial services clients (banks, fintech, investment firms, etc.).
• Advise stakeholders on governance, risk, and controls; assess control design and test operating effectiveness.
• Present findings to process owners, audit leaders, and executives with clear, concise communication.
• Deliver high-quality work with minimal revisions, balancing multiple priorities efficiently.
• Develop skills via feedback, mentoring, and training (CPE, SME sessions).
• Serve as a primary client contact, managing expectations and project timelines.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.
• 3+ years in financial services (audit, risk, compliance) at an accounting firm, consulting firm, or bank.
• Knowledge of banking products, regulations, risks, and controls; experience with large banks preferred.
• Strong project/client management and communication skills; ability to simplify complex issues.
• Adaptable to shifting deadlines and scope changes.
