About Us:

We are a growing floorcovering company located in the Lower Mainland. We specialize in high-quality commercial flooring installations. Our team prides itself on delivering superior craftsmanship and exceptional customer service. We are currently seeking both Journeyman Floorcovering Installers and Apprentice Floorcovering Installers to join our dynamic team!

Job Overview:

As a Floorcovering Installer, you will be responsible for the installation of various types of flooring, including carpet tile, LVT/LVP, flashcoved and flatlayed sheet goods. You will work on a range of commercial projects, ensuring that each installation meets our high standards of quality and craftsmanship. Both Journeymen and Apprentices are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

• Journeyman Floorcovering Installers:
  • Perform professional floor covering installations with attention to detail and quality.
  • Lead and mentor apprentice installers on job sites.
  • Assess project requirements and work with customers to meet their needs.
  • Troubleshoot and solve installation challenges efficiently.
  • Ensure safety and cleanliness on job sites.
  • Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
• Apprentice Floorcovering Installers:
  • Assist journeymen installers with flooring projects.
  • Learn installation techniques for various types of flooring.
  • Prepare and clean job sites before and after installations.
  • Operate and maintain tools and equipment under supervision.
  • Follow safety protocols and work effectively as part of a team.

Requirements:

• Journeyman Installers:

  • Valid Journeyman Floorcovering Installer certification (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in floor covering installation.
  • Strong knowledge of different types of flooring materials and installation methods.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
  • Own tools preferred.

• Apprentice Installers:

  • Interest in learning the trade and obtaining certification.
  • Some experience in floor covering installation is an asset but not required.
  • Strong work ethic and a willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
