HEALTHCARE COMPLIANCE COORDINATOR JOB SUMMARY

This position primarily provides administrative support to the CAO and serves as CCHCs Privacy Officer. The individual will work as a liaison between Comprehensive Community Health Centers (CCHC) and its contracted IPAs and health plans, review and support implementation of regulatory guidance or laws, and support all areas of Compliance.

HEALTHCARE COMPLIANCE COORDINATOR ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide administrative support to the CAO.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with IPAs and health plans through meetings and joint operating committee (JOC) meetings.
  • Address operational issues related to claim submissions, authorization, provider contracting, credentialing, and other issues.
  • Maintain IPA, plan, provider, and vendor contracts.
  • Manage agreements with educational institutions and programs, including externships and volunteers.
  • Stay current on legislation impacting CCHC, including HRSA requirements, and disseminate information, train staff, and develop policies accordingly.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations and accreditation standards.
  • Oversee and modify CCHCs Compliance Program and conduct internal monitoring.
  • Collaborate with legal counsel as needed.
  • Maintain contract provisions and terms for agreements entered into by CCHC.
  • Identify and address information security, confidentiality, and HIPAA issues.
  • Serve as CCHCs Privacy Officer.
  • Support the Compliance Department with administrative tasks, including preparing for the quarterly Compliance Committee meeting.
  • Coordinate with Credentialing and assist Revenue Cycle with auditing provider data for claims processing.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


REQUIREMENTS: EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Experience with HRSA preferred.
  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field required.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Knowledge of relevant state and federal healthcare legislation.
  • Paralegal or contracting experience is a plus but not required.


PAY RATE: $33-$36/hr (dependent on experience)
