Job Summary The Haul Truck Driver is responsible for operating the haul truck and trailer safely to transport equipment and materials to and from job sites in the North Texas area.
Essential Functions - Operation of a commercial vehicle and trailer
- Operate various small equipment (Backhoes, Mini-Excavator) to load and unload from the trailer
- Operate a forklift to load or unload materials from a trailer
- Ability to safely secure the load to the trailer
- Must conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicle, trailer, and load
- Make sure the load is clean and secure before transporting
- Must abide by all DOT laws and regulations to protect equipment, materials, and the public
- Availability Monday thru Friday 7 am to 5:30 pm (up to 55 hours per week)
- Perform other labor-related duties as assigned by the supervisor
- Comply with all Zachry safety policies and guidelines

Required Skills & Experience - Must have Class A CDL with an X endorsement for both Tanker and Hazmat and acceptable driving record
- Must have 3 plus years of previous driving experience
- Must be able to communicate effectively
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform stooping, bending, kneeling, turning, twisting, pushing, pulling, squatting, and climbing
- Take direction from supervision on daily routes
- Physical ability to climb in and out of the cab of the truck and the equipment
- Physical ability to climb on and off the trailer to secure the load
- Prioritization and organizational skills, detail-oriented
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Dependable, self-motivated, and task-oriented
