Job Opportunity: Hospitalist Coverage in Rural Florida

We are urgently seeking hospitalists to cover shifts in rural and remote areas of Florida, specifically in Macclenny. These locations are in critical need of medical doctors.

Qualifications:

• Active FL medical license
• Board-certified or eligible (BE/BC) as a hospitalist
• Clean DEA and NPDB records (no active lawsuits or unresolved cases)
• Minimum of one year of hospitalist experience
• ACLS certification
• Ability to intubate and sign off on intubations for credentialing

Responsibilities:

• Perform admits and rounding duties
• Manage patient care during 24-hour shifts, typically 12-15 hours, including night call
• Participate in orientation, scheduled on weekdays, lasting approximately 4 hours
• Engage in informal rounding and interaction with ED and nursing staff during evening hours
• Evaluate ICU patients at bedside immediately upon admission

Shift Details:

• Minimum commitment of one 4 to 7-day shift
• Shift times generally from 12pm to 12pm
• Arrive at 8am on the first day for orientation if on a weekday

Travel and Lodging:

Locations are remote; providers will need to drive or fly to the nearest airport and then drive to the site. Travel and lodging are provided, along with malpractice insurance. Lodging is typically on-site in a designated sleeping room. Providers should come alone due to lodging arrangements.

Additional Information:

Orientation will be scheduled prior to shifts, with travel adjustments as needed. The first night of arrival is covered by the client. Travel and lodging arrangements are made in advance to facilitate smooth deployment.
