This is a locum tenens opportunity ideal for advanced practice providers with recent ER experience seeking flexible, rural-based coverage assignments. This is a high-impact, low-volume ED environment where your presence makes a tangible difference in the local community. Shifts are open for both day and night coverage, and we’re actively building a rotating roster of dependable providers. Opportunity Details Location: Muleshoe, TX Contract Type: Locum Tenens – Emergency Medicine (APP) Facility Type: Critical Access Hospital | 5-Bed Emergency Department Start Date: ASAP – Ongoing Patient Volume: ~272 ED visits/month Shift Model: Flexible; up to 72 hours per week Charting System: Centriq Responsibilities Provide acute emergency care in a rural, community-based ED Assess, diagnose, and treat patients of all ages independently Collaborate with remote physicians as needed for consults or escalations Manage patient flow, prioritize cases, and stabilize emergent situations Respond rapidly to changes in patient condition or diagnostic findings Candidate Requirements Active Texas State License Certified Nurse Practitioner (FNP/ENP) or Physician Assistant Minimum 1–2 years of recent Emergency Medicine experience Certifications: BLS, ACLS, ATLS, PALS Comfortable practicing independently in a rural setting Why Rhino Medical?
