Managed Services Engineer L1

Location: Duluth, GA (on-site with client travel)

About the Role:

BECA is looking for a Managed Services Engineer L1 to provide technical support to our clients by phone and through our ticketing system. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys problem-solving, clear communication, and helping customers with IT needs.

What You’ll Do:

  • Respond to support tickets and client phone calls.
  • Document all work and updates in the ticketing system.
  • Escalate issues when needed and update knowledge base articles.
  • Monitor ticket gateway when phone lines are slow.
  • Participate in after-hours and on-call support rotations.
  • Travel to client locations when assigned.
  • Communicate effectively with both clients and team members.

What We Expect:

  • Meet SLA requirements for tickets and phone calls.
  • Log accurate billable hours and submit weekly timesheets.
  • Maintain strong customer satisfaction (CSAT) scores.
  • Be available for on-call shifts and major outage responses.
  • Work toward annual goals with quarterly reviews

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Ticketing software (incident management and time tracking).
  • Active Directory basics (security groups, group policy, domain controllers).
  • Microsoft Windows/Server fundamentals (patching, physical vs. virtual servers).
  • Microsoft 365 (user accounts and communication tools).
  • Networking basics (DHCP, DNS, ping, nslookup, traceroute).
  • Willingness to maintain vendor/technical certifications as needed.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to use hands to handle equipment, talk, hear, read, and write.
  • Occasionally lift up to 25 lbs (with or without reasonable accommodation).
