Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated LPN Detox Nurse Administrator to lead and oversee nursing operations within our detox facility. This role ensures high-quality patient care, regulatory compliance, and effective team coordination in a structured detox environment. The ideal candidate is a compassionate, organized, and experienced LPN with strong leadership skills and a passion for addiction recovery.

Key Responsibilities:

Administrative & Leadership Duties:

• Oversee daily nursing operations within the detox unit, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality patient care.
• Supervise and support LPNs, RNs, and other healthcare staff, providing guidance and training as needed.
• Assist with scheduling, staff evaluations, and performance management.
• Ensure compliance with state, federal, and facility regulations, including HIPAA and infection control policies.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures to enhance patient care and nursing efficiency.

Patient Care & Clinical Duties:

• Monitor and assess patients undergoing detox, ensuring safety and adherence to treatment protocols.
• Administer medications, including withdrawal management treatments, as prescribed by medical providers.
• Perform vital sign checks, health assessments, and symptom management.
• Educate patients and families on detox processes, medication management, and ongoing recovery resources.

Collaboration & Communication:

• Work closely with physicians, therapists, and case managers to create and implement individualized patient care plans.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff to ensure a compassionate and supportive care environment.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Active LPN license in the state of New York
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in detox, substance abuse treatment, behavioral health, or a related field.
• Previous leadership or administrative experience is preferred.
• Strong understanding of withdrawal protocols, medication-assisted treatment (MAT), and addiction recovery principles.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment while maintaining professionalism and compassion.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification required.
