Occupancy Manager
Fort Wayne Housing Authority

The Fort Wayne Housing Authority is seeking a Occupancy Manager to be the first point of contact for participants, landlords, applicants, and the public. This role provides front desk support, answers questions in person, by phone, and email, and assists with housing program applications and documentation.

What You’ll Do:

  • Greet visitors, answer calls, and respond to inquiries.
  • Assist with applications, forms, and housing program processes.
  • Schedule hearings, track client issues, and follow up as needed.
  • Provide administrative support including mail distribution, data entry, and correspondence.
  • Support Public Housing and Housing Choice Voucher Program (HCVP) staff with applications, case files, and scheduling.

Education & Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED with at least 5 years of clerical and customer service experience.
  • Associate’s degree in Business Administration or related field preferred.
  • Equivalent education/experience may be considered.
  • Valid driver’s license and insurability under the Authority’s plan required.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong communication, active listening, and customer service skills.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook; YARDI experience a plus.
  • Ability to learn new software as needed.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and professional under pressure.
  • Comfortable working with diverse populations.
