Essential Functions and Primary Duties Manage daily accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger maintenance and financial close process. Prepare or review client’s internal financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP or other relevant accounting standards Assist clients with developing and/or managing the organization’s budget and providing financial and forecast (as needed) Coordinate reporting requirements with external auditors and tax accountants (as needed) Make recommendations for changes as needed, and ensure that company policies and procedures are followed Maintain client relationships and assist with engagement billings Manage various outsourced accounting services engagements and facilitate training of outsourced accounting team members (as needed) Preferred Qualifications A hybrid of public accounting and private company experience Hands-on experience with various accounting processes, such as accounts payable, billing, payroll and financial close In-depth knowledge of US GAAP. Experience with SEC and SOX clients, a plus High degree of accuracy and attention to detail Organized and able to manage multiple projects and good interpersonal skills Excellent communication skills (written and oral) Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Experience with QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite, SAP, Sage Intacct, Bill.com, is a plus Experience with Company in the technology & life science industry and emerging businesses is a plus. Minimum Qualifications Required Bachelor’s degree 6 years of experience in public accounting or related field 3 years supervisory experience Must have active CPA or equivalent certification Ability to manage all aspects of client engagements Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of organization, both internally and externally Must be able to travel based on client and business needs Proficient use of applicable technology The annual salary target for this job in this market is $120,000 - $150,000. The specific compensation for this role will be determined based on the education, experience, and skill set of the individual selected for this position.
