Overhead Crane Operator

$20-22/hr

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated overhead crane operator to join our precast concrete manufacturing facility. The primary responsibility is to operate an overhead crane to move concrete pipes throughout the facility, working both indoors and outdoors. This role is crucial to ensuring efficient production and handling of concrete materials.

Responsibilities

• Operate an overhead crane to move concrete pipes throughout the facility
• Work both indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions
• Ensure safe and efficient operation of the crane
• Perform general labor tasks as needed
• Lift and maneuver heavy materials, consistently lifting up to 75lbs
• Maintain good attendance in accordance with the company's strict 10 point system

Essential Skills

• Experience operating an overhead crane
• Ability to read a tape measure
• Capacity to lift up to 75lbs consistently
• Good attendance record

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in construction, manufacturing, or general labor
• Familiarity with concrete and rebar
• References speaking to good attendance

Work Environment

This facility is not climate controlled, requiring candidates to work in both indoor and outdoor settings. The environment is noisy, necessitating hearing protection, and candidates must be comfortable with heavy lifting and getting dirty. During peak season until November, work hours are from 6 or 6:30 AM to 5 PM, totaling 60+ hours per week. From November to May, normal hours are from 6 or 6:30 AM to 3 or 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday, with very occasional Saturdays. Note that all contractors must purchase their own steel-toed boots.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of PLATTSMOUTH, Nebraska.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
