Job Description

Our client, a leading healthcare provider, is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to join their team. As a Patient Care Technician, you will be part of the patient care team supporting individuals undergoing dialysis treatment. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a compassionate demeanor, and the ability to work collaboratively, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Patient Care Technician (PCT)

Location: Harrisburg, PA

Pay Range: Competitive, based on experience

What's the Job?

• Provide direct, patient care for assigned patients under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse.
• Assist licensed nurse with pre and post dialysis patient assessments and their documentation.
• Monitor and document dialysis treatment parameters on Dialysis Flow Sheets.
• Report any significant information or change in patient condition to the supervisor.
• Initiate basic CPR measures in the event of cardiac and/or pulmonary arrest and respond to emergency situations related to dialysis treatment.

What's Needed?

• High school diploma or G.E.D. required.
• Previous patient care experience in a hospital setting or related facility preferred, but not required.
• Successful completion of a training course in the theory and practice of hemodialysis.
• CPR Certification required.
• Education in physical sciences and/or training in laboratory techniques preferred.
