Reports To: Licensed Physical Therapist, Director of Rehabilitation
The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) works under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to deliver high-quality physical therapy services to residents in a skilled nursing facility. The PTA helps residents improve physical function, mobility, and independence, following established treatment plans in compliance with Colorado state laws and facility policies.

Implement physical therapy treatment plans developed by the supervising Physical Therapist.
Assist residents with exercises and mobility training to improve strength, balance, coordination, and functional ability.
Monitor resident progress and report changes or concerns to the Physical Therapist.
Document daily treatment sessions and resident responses in accordance with state, federal, and facility requirements.
Educate residents and caregivers on safe mobility techniques and use of assistive devices.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized therapy environment.
Participate in care team meetings and contribute to interdisciplinary planning when requested.
Adhere to ethical standards, confidentiality guidelines, and the Colorado Physical Therapy Practice Act.
Associate’s degree from a CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
Current Colorado PTA license in good standing.
CPR certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
Experience in geriatrics or skilled nursing facility preferred.
Excellent communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to follow a plan of care and work as part of a collaborative rehab team.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and assist residents throughout the shift.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and help with resident transfers and mobility tasks.
Stamina to perform repetitive physical tasks in a clinical setting.
Competitive hourly wage $29/hr - $42/hr DOE
