The Role: Product Owner

As a Product Owner, youll take full ownership of how our Utility Billing Hub evolves from backlog to release. While the role emphasizes delivery and execution, were looking for someone who brings strong product thinking, a deep understanding of user needs, and the curiosity to ask why , not just what .

Youll collaborate closely with Product Managers, engineers, and client-facing teams to deliver scalable, intuitive features that make a meaningful difference for local governments. Youll own the backlog and drive the sprint rhythm but your fingerprints will be on everything from shaping the roadmap to measuring outcomes.

How Youll Make an Impact

• Define and Support Product Vision
  Partner with leadership and cross-functional teams to support a clear, actionable product vision that aligns with company strategy and user needs.
• Own the Product and the Process
  Translate product goals into actionable backlog items. Prioritize, groom, and refine the backlog in collaboration with stakeholders making trade-offs, removing blockers, and keeping teams focused on outcomes.
• Lead Development Efforts
  Break down product concepts into user stories, features, and acceptance criteria. Work daily with engineering and QA to support sprints, triage bugs, and ensure quality.
• Drive Collaboration Across the Business
  Serve as the connector between technical teams, client success, operations, and leadership. Align priorities, gather feedback, and maintain visibility throughout the product lifecycle.
• Measure What Matters
  Work with QA, analytics, and support to define success metrics, monitor product performance, and adjust based on data and user feedback.
• Enhance Utility Billing Capabilities
  Lead initiatives that modernize how municipalities bill, collect, reconcile, and manage utility data including integrations, automation, and reporting improvements.
• Champion Agile Execution
  Actively participate in Agile ceremonies (stand-ups, grooming, planning, retrospectives) and help keep the team aligned, focused, and continuously improving.

What Youll Bring

• 4+ years in a Product Owner, Product Manager, or similar role in SaaS, GovTech, or payments
• Strategic product thinking with an ability to advocate for the user and focus on outcomes
• Proven experience managing product roadmaps and cross-functional initiatives
• Strong communication skills able to rally teams and influence without authority
• Familiarity working with Agile teams and sprint-based development
• Technical comfort and an ability to collaborate closely with engineering and QA
• Adaptability to navigate ambiguity and shifting priorities

• Omaha-based? Youll follow our hybrid model, working remotely with in-office collaboration on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
