As a Prospect Researcher, your main responsibilities will include:
• Conducting research to identify potential donors for our organization
• Creating detailed prospect profiles and conducting wealth screenings using our CRM and iWave database
• Compiling and presenting data in comprehensive reports for the use of senior leadership
• Assisting in the development and execution of our fundraising strategy in collaboration with our Director of Advancement and Executive Director
• Identifying potential grants each month that could help expand our grants portfolio
• Ensuring the integrity and accuracy of our donor database by removing duplicates and updating records as required
• Assisting in the transition from our current CRM to a new CRM platform
• Helping to segment our donor population for more effective stewardship
• Seeking out prospective donors for major and leadership gift levels. AP
• Proficiency in CRM software, particularly with iWave
• Advanced experience with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suites
• Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook for managing daily communications
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
• Experience or familiarity with donor databases
• Prior experience in donor management and cultivation strategies
• Ability to conduct and apply legal research
• Understanding of the non-profit sector and its unique needs
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
