The expected base salary range for this job is $80,000 - $120,000 depending upon experience.

The California High-Speed Rail Authority’s Construction Package 1 (CP1) is the first significant construction contract executed on the Initial Operating Section of the High-Speed Rail project in California’s Central Valley.
The CP1 construction area is a 32-mile stretch between Avenue 19 in Madera County to East American Avenue in Fresno County, including major work elements in downtown Fresno. It includes 12 roadway / railroad grade separations, two mainline viaducts, one tunnel, realignments of existing railroad tracks, utility relocations, roadway relocations, two trench sections, and a major river crossing over the San Joaquin River.

Description:
Inspect to contract specifications the quality of concrete mix designs, construction submittals, testing procedures, etc.
Inspect concrete steel reinforcement and form work on bridge decks, beams, box culverts, columns, footings, utilities and roadways.
Develop understanding/working knowledge of company quality control program, company standards, procedures, codes, etc. required to perform assigned work.
Perform inspections and witness tests applicable to discipline to determine acceptability of work.
Assist in maintaining work performance records, inspection records and other related items; assure correctness of all documents.
Assist in preparation/implementation of quality control procedures, i.e., inspection instructions, control measuring and test equipment, etc.
Assist in coordinating quality control inspection schedules with other department schedules.
Participate in internal/external quality control audits.
Assist in reviewing purchase documents to ensure compliance with quality control requirements.
Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction.
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED certification
5 or more years of experience in support of design-build or heavy civil construction testing, inspection, supervision or management in support of large public works projects.
An understanding and experience with contract specifications as they apply to quality control and/or assurance (preferred)
Experience with Microsoft Office (preferred)
ACI or other industry related certifications (preferred)
