If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you. We are seeking a professional to join our dynamic team as a Permanent Accounts Payable Specialist. This role is a crucial part of our team, ensuring the smooth operation of our financial department. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with a great team of people in a first class work environment.
Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Accounts Payable Specialist, your daily duties will include:
1. Managing the full cycle of accounts payable activities including invoice processing, payment processing, and month-end closing.
2. Preparing regular reports of payment activities and keeping accurate records of all transactions.
3. Performing monthly reconciliations of all payable accounts and resolving any discrepancies.
4. Collaborating with other departments to ensure accurate and timely payment of all company expenses.
5. Using accounting software such as Yardi and Quickbooks to track expenses and process payments.
6. Assisting with financial audits by providing necessary information and answering auditors' questions.
7. Participating in the implementation of new systems and processes to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the accounts payable function.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this exciting opportunity, candidates must possess the following qualifications:
1. 3 years of experience in an Accounts Payable role
2. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting software such as Yardi and Quickbooks.
3. Strong knowledge of accounts payable processes, month-end procedures, and reconciliation techniques.
4. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle large amounts of data accurately and meet deadlines.
5. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively communicate with individuals at all levels within the organization.
6. A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred. We will consider relevant experience in lieu of degree.
7. A proactive approach to work, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
8. High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
