Back to Basics Learning Dynamics (B2B) is a premier education services provider with nearly 40 years of excellence. We offer one-on-one tutoring, translation and interpretation, speech and occupational therapy, reading specialists, psycho-educational testing, one-on-one SAT & ACT test prep, and more. In addition, we operate Delaware’s only one-on-one private school for grades 7-12, Augustine Hills School, located in Wilmington, Delaware.

What We Are Looking For 

We are seeking an English Language Arts (ELA) teacher to teach a group of kindergarten through 2nd grade students in-person at our Wilmington, Delaware location. This is a temporary position that will last 6 weeks this summer (in June and July) in a school setting. Scope of Work 

As a Summer School ELA Teacher, you will: 

• Teach English Language Arts (ELA) to Kindergarten through 2nd-grade students in a classroom setting (12-14 students) in Wilmington, DE (19803). 

• Take attendance and maintain accurate records. 

• Prepare lesson plans using the provided curriculum materials. 

• Deliver engaging instruction to support skill-building and literacy development. 

• Maintain effective classroom management to create a positive learning environment. 

Program Details: 

• Duration: Approximately 6 weeks 

• Training: June 17th and June 18th (for school curriculum and program expectations) 

• Teaching: June 23rd – July 24th (Mondays through Thursdays, 8:00 AM - 1:00 PM; there is no school Friday, Saturday, and Sunday) 

• Location: Wilmington, DE (19803) 

• Commitment: Applicants must be available for the entire program duration. 

Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s degree or higher 

• Delaware Elementary Education Certification 

• Minimum of 2+ years of classroom teaching experience with the kindergarten, first, and/or second grade levels (student teaching and practicum excluded) 

• Strong communication skills (both written and verbal) 

• Ability to adapt to changes and manage a dynamic classroom environment 

• Passion for working with young students and helping them build foundational skills 

• Reliable transportation and consistent attendance
