What You’ll Do

As a Senior Engineer at Atomic, you’ll drive the development and integration of AI solutions into our supply chain planning platform. This role is central to our mission of building software that “thinks like a planner” and automates complex decision-making. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and optimize AI-driven features that deliver real business value to our clients.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Developing and fine-tuning AI models to enhance Atomic’s inventory planning and forecasting capabilities.
• Leveraging agentic AI techniques to automate multi-step processes and improve decision-making logic in the platform.
• Building and optimizing pipelines for integrating AI outputs with real-time client data.
• Monitoring AI performance and continuously iterating to improve accuracy, scalability, and efficiency.

What You’ll Need

• AI Fluency: 5+ years of software development experience, with deep experience with the latest AI/ML frameworks. Strong understanding of LLMs, GPTs, and agent-related technologies.
• Agentic System Development: Appetite and ability to learn how to build AI agents and systems capable of reasoning, decision-making, and performing multi-step tasks autonomously. While prior experience is a plus, this role is also an opportunity to gain hands-on experience with agentic AI techniques.
• Python Expertise: Proficient in Python and familiar with best practices for production AI/ML systems.
• Cloud Experience: Proven ability to develop and deploy AI solutions in cloud environments.
• Data Handling: Expertise in processing and managing large-scale datasets for training and inference.
• Startup Mindset: Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with minimal bureaucracy. Able to thrive in ambiguity and take initiative to solve problems creatively.
• Teamwork & Ownership: Strong collaboration and communication skills. A track record of delivering end-to-end solutions independently while contributing to team success.
