Hybrid This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to the Mountain View Technical Center, Mountain View, California, at least three times per week or as dictated by the business needs. The Role You will be responsible for sourcing technology purchases (Software, Software as a Service, Infrastructure) on a regional and global basis. Your primary responsibility is to develop, negotiate, and implement sourcing strategies by collaborating with key stakeholders in engineering, technology, IT, security, and legal. This involves preparing and presenting sourcing recommendations to various levels of management. What You’ll Do (Responsibilities) Understand the Automotive, Software, and IT industries, including the long-term direction of GM software. Identify viable suppliers for technology requirements. Develop global commodity strategies. Manage suppliers aligned with quality, service, technology, and price strategies, including understanding deadlines, lead times, contracts, and application types. Collaborate actively with engineering, IT, business stakeholders, legal, and security teams. Manage annual renewal processes and deadlines. Follow corporate purchasing and accounting policies and procedures. Negotiate prices, terms, and other contract items. Use Global Purchasing and Supply Chain Sourcing Processes to manage sourcing packages. Establish a capable and competitive supply base through RFQ analysis and source selection. Develop benchmarking metrics for each sourcing package. Participate in supplier KPI reviews. Compensation The compensation listed is a good-faith estimate based on applicable state laws and may vary depending on location. The salary range for this role is $98,900 to $158,000. The actual salary offered will depend on relevant factors. Bonus potential is available through an incentive pay program based on company performance, job level, and individual performance.
