Job Summary

The Martucci Group is seeking a dynamic high volume General Manager with a passion for hospitality to help lead 4 BRAND NEW concepts under one roof on Block Island. This will be a massive resume builder for the right individual. A chance to build your entire team from scratch. Obtain multi-unit experience and working knowledge. New store opening experience.  Sommelier experience is a plus!

Concepts Include:

OneBI Steal & Oyster House:  Located right off the ferry landing, formally known as Finns, OneBI is a beautifully remodeled upscale steak and seafood restaurant.

Block Island Clam Cake Company:  Your fast casual grab and go option before getting on the ferry for clam cakes, chowder, doughboys, etc.

Pasta Patch:  Located also on the mainland in East Greenwich, Pasta Patch will offer Italian prepared foods, along with fresh deli sandwiches, pizza and calzones.

Block Island Bunk House:  Block Islands newest and high-end boutique hotel. Sitting on the top floor of the 212 Building, equipped with a private roof top bar overlooking the harbor, this concept will bring high end yachting living with coastal designs. Great for large families, wedding parties, family gatherings.

This position starts in May 2025 and runs through October 2025. High-end newly renovated employee housing is provided as part of your comp package. This pivotal role will oversee the daily management of our restaurants and bars, ensuring high standards of service and operational excellence. The ideal candidate will play a key role in our growth strategy while fostering a positive work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of all restaurants and bars to ensure smooth functioning.
  • Implement strategies to enhance customer satisfaction and drive sales growth.
  • Lead, train, and develop staff to maintain high standards of service and performance.
  • Manage budgets, financial reports, and inventory control effectively.
  • Collaborate with the ownership team to develop business strategies for expansion.
  • Ensure compliance with health regulations and safety standards.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in restaurant management or hospitality leadership roles.
  • Strong knowledge of casual dining operations and food service management.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
  • Effective communication skills for interacting with staff, customers, and stakeholders.
  • Experience in budgeting, financial analysis, and inventory management is preferred.
