Senior Manager, Internal Audit

LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Senior Manager, Internal Audit for a permanent, hybrid opportunity with a well-established company based in Richmond, VA.

The Senior Manager, Internal Audit will be responsible for overseeing the planning and execution of the audit plan. Responsibilities include managing audit staff, planning engagements, managing execution, performing risk assessments, establishing scope and providing recommendations based on findings.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute a comprehensive internal audit plan to evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls, risk management, and governance processes.
• Lead and manage internal audit projects, including planning, execution, and reporting.
• Identify and assess areas of risk and develop recommendations for improvement.
• Communicate audit findings and recommendations to senior management and the audit committee.
• Monitor the implementation of audit recommendations and follow up on corrective actions.
• Provide guidance and support to the internal audit team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
• Stay current with industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in internal auditing.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure a coordinated approach to risk management and internal controls.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors in Accounting or Finance
• CPA, CIA or similar designation strongly preferred

Skills:

• Multi-tasker with great time management and ability to succeed in fast past environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with proven ability to lead a team

Salary: $110-150k + Bonus
