Job Description – Sheet Metal Fabricator

Rev: SMP 10202021
Position: Sheet Metal Fabricator
Reports to: Sheet Metal Supervisor and Production Manager
Hours: Full-Time, Non – Exempt. Location: Headquarters

Experience and Skills:
- Associate degree in a technical trade OR equivalent technical training preferred.
- Minimum 5 years proven experience in sheet metal fabrication and general production, including subassembly.
- Hands-on experience with:
- Amada Punch Press
- Amada Brake Press (preferred)
- Laser cutting equipment
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Highly organized, efficient, and able to excel in a fast-paced production environment.
- Self-starter with a proactive approach to quality and productivity.

- Maintain a professional image and positive attitude when interacting with colleagues and customers.
- Exhibit professional appearance, punctuality, and reliability.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate Amada Punch Press.
- Set up and operate Amada Brake Press.
- Set up and operate laser cutting equipment (if trained).
- Perform hardware insertion, spot welding, and subassemblies.
- Inspect parts for quality and dimensional accuracy.
- Maintain a safe, organized, and clean work area.
- Continually improve processes and support other departments when needed.

Secondary Responsibilities:
- Provide backup support in other fabrication areas as needed.
- Assist in training new team members.
- Help review and improve technical setup documentation.
- Participate in skill-improvement training as required.
- Support other departments on special projects.
