POSITION SUMMARY

The Senior Staff Accountant is responsible for reconciling general ledger accounts, reviewing travel expense compliance, processing month end accruals and reclassifications, inventory and asset management, sales and use tax compliance, and balance sheet reconciliations.

REPORTS TO: Assistant Controller

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Point person for accounting team questions and troubleshooting tasks
  • Maintain and reconcile balance sheet general ledger accounts
  • Administer sales commission calculation and reporting
  • Administer travel expense compliance and approval process
  • Administer sales and use tax filing preparation and filing
  • Assist in income tax provision and filing processes
  • Maintain fixed assets and intangibles registers, including roll forward schedule
  • Prepare semi-annual audit samples and participate in process controls interviews
  • Maintain inventory accounts
  • Timely and accurately process month end accruals and reclassifications
  • Prepare general ledger reconciliations
  • Compile and provide financial data for internal department requests
  • Prepare and report licensed theme royalties
  • Maintain Sales Type Lease and deferred income schedule
  • Other duties as assigned

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Previous experience or a degree in accounting or finance are required.

Previous experience in a gaming/manufacturing environment is desirable.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Must have Microsoft Office, accounting systems, spreadsheet knowledge
  • Microsoft Access software experience desirable
  • Pronto system experience desirable
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to function in a fast-paced environment and multi-task on a regular basis
  • Ability to prioritize and work with deadlines
  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable

Other Requirements

The successful candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a Nevada Gaming registration.
