Job Description

Summary

St. John Preschool and Childcare is looking for someone to work in our school age program for the summer months. The position would be full-time working between the hours of 6am and 6pm, Monday through Friday. We are looking for someone with experience in the education field, and/or a college student who has taken some courses in early childhood education. This position would include lesson planning for each week with daily activities planned for the children. 

Duties

Oversee children ages 5 and up.
Weekly themes and simple lesson plans.
Plan and carry out activities each day.
Interacting affectionately and respectfully with children.
Speak in a friendly, calm, soft, courteous manner with the children.
Communicate with children at their level.
Be available and responsive to the children's needs, questions and requests.
Use positive discipline techniques as modeled by other teachers.

Requirements

*18 years of age
*Early childhood I and 2 OR other credit -based education classes

*CPR/First Aide
