The individual selected for this position will be a self-starter with an appetite to learn. This position supports the Printed Wiring Board and Substrate category manager in managing their suppliers. This is a critical role in developing and maintaining solid supplier relationships, ensuring quality and on-time delivery metrics, and seamless communication. An understanding of PWB manufacturing is highly beneficial. Required Education, Experience, & Skills Experience with Part / Process Risk Mitigation Six Sigma or Lean experience is a plus Understanding of Manufacturing technologies Knowledge of product performance regarding measurement, tolerance, materials, and material compatibilities Ability to plan and drive initiatives to completion Experience re-designing or re-engineering for ease of manufacturing and cost reduction Knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques such as value stream mapping, kaizen, Kanban, supplier-managed inventories, 5S, cycle times, single-piece flow, and Six Sigma Proven teamwork and leadership skills; ability to work across organizations including programs, engineering, purchasing, and suppliers Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Background in quality management Creativity and innovative thinking Strong written and verbal communication skills Proficiency in MS Word and Excel Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline and at least 2 years of work experience.
