Systems Eng III

Location: Englewood CO – 4 days onsite 1 day remote

Contract Duration: Long term ongoing contract

Pay Rate: $45-55/hr DOE

Overview: Our client is looking to bring on a Systems Eng III to support new and updated software and infrastructure changes to increase operational performance and developer agility. This team is filled with DevOps thought leaders focused on automation and infrastructure of a service. They automate tasks, implement monitoring and restore environmental health to keep pre-product services running.

Skill Set

• 3+ years of IT experience
• Strong experience working with DevOps engineers to build and deploy infrastructure with cloud deployment technologies and local data center solutions.
• Hands on experience with AWS and Kubernetes
• Experience with monitoring technologies such as Splunk, DataDog and Grafana
• Experience with programming languages (Python, Java, Ruby, JavaScript)
• Experience with CI/CD (Git, Gitlab, Jenkins, Argo, Helm), runners and webhooks
• Must have experience testing manually, testing APIs and microservices
• Must have strong communication skills and the ability to learn quickly

Responsibilities

• Actively and consistently supports all efforts to simplify and enhance the lab tenant experience.
• Interfaces with other teams to collect and define project requirements and MOP reviews for automating and deploying microservice applications or technology stacks.
• Code and perform continuous automation testing of software to ensure proper and efficient execution and adherence to business and technical requirements.
• Write programs according to specifications, and define specifications for complex programs and
• monitoring solutions.
• Monitor and repair critical systems on an as needed basis.
• Generate reports and/or data through database management, data administration and data extraction techniques.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation.
• Serve as final escalation point to resolve incidents and problems for applications and microservices supported by the team in accordance with identified Service Level Agreements.
• Provide system users and management with system analysis and improvement recommendations.
• Identify and recommend system design/requirements needs for software enhancements.
• Participate in continuous performance improvement sessions to discuss opportunities to improve processes and/or standards.
• Coordinate with technical teams to analyze and resolve software related problems causing operational difficulties, advising on specialized features and functions.
• Maximize the efficiency of the various software systems by implementing, monitoring, testing and auditing new software programs.
• Follow established configuration/change control processes.
• Collaborate with customers and internal/external technical teams to identify software problems and communicate remediation plans.
• Mentor and coach junior team members

Interview Process : Will be a two step interview process. One interview with the hiring manager and one panel interview.

Team overview: There are 7 engineers on the team. They are highly collaborative and very innovative.
