TIG Welder | South Charlotte | 1 st Shift |$19.00 per hour + DOE| Thursday – Sunday | 6:00am – 4:30pm Thursday – Sunday

What Matters Most:

• 1st Shift: 6:00 am – 4:30 pm Thursday – Sunday (May train Monday – Friday to start)
• Pay: $19.00 per hour or more depending on experience
• Location: South Charlotte 28273
• 3-5 years of TIG Welding Experience (will be tested)

Job Description

• Responsible for ensuring and maintaining high material integrity of iridium items used in crystal growth manufacturing
• Blacksmithing activities, including cleaning, reshaping, welding, repair, inspection, and overall maintenance of precious metal items of various sizes, mostly crucibles and lids
• Maintain complete and accurate records of all processes related to crucible repair and maintenance
• Maintain tools, equipment, and supplies necessary to keep the welding area safe, clean, orderly, and efficient.
• Welding activities are mostly GTAW/TIG
• Other duties may include copper brazing and aluminum welding

Job Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Welding Certification (AWS, ASME, or equivalent) preferred
• 3-5 years of TIG welding experience
• Experience brazing copper and welding non-ferrous metals such as gold, aluminum, and iridium
• Experience with Hydrogen, oxy-acetylene torches, sandblasting, and pneumatic equipment
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds
• Must have computer experience and work effectively with spreadsheets
• Strong work ethic
