Position Title: Veterinary Assistant

Hours:
· 1 Late Night a Week, Tuesday or Thursday till 7:30pm
· 1 Saturday a month 7:30am-2:00pm
· 3 More days a week, usually 7:30am/8:30am-6:00pm (4:00pm on Fridays)
Summary of Position: Assist Dr’s preforming medical procedures and in the day to day duties that make those medical procedures possible.
Job Details:
· Restrain animals when necessary for medical procedures
· Draw up vaccines for wellness appointments
· Dispense prescribed medications for patients
· Assist receptionists with phone calls when available
· Keep the facility clean during operation
o This includes treatment areas
o Exam rooms
o Waiting Room
· Educate clients on proper pet education
o Prescribed medications
o Vaccine protocols
o Feeding instructions
o How to preform at home medical procedures
