About the Role

The Company is seeking a Vice President for Model Risk Management in the Finance sector. The successful candidate will be at the forefront of managing and controlling model risk to enhance model excellence, and long-term shareholder value, and to ensure compliance with evolving regulatory standards. This role is pivotal in leading a global team to oversee the independent validation of enterprise-wide models, including those used for finance and regulatory purposes. The VP will be responsible for visionary research to drive business impact, supporting regulatory and audit examinations, and effectively communicating the outcomes of model risk management activities to senior management, business partners, and regulators. A key aspect of the role is to take timely actions to maintain high-level performance in line with the company's priorities and to motivate staff and leaders across teams. Applicants for this role at the company should have a minimum of 10 years' of work experience, with a strong preference for those who have worked in a GSIB in the field of model risk. The role requires a candidate with a quantitative background, deep understanding of machine learning and statistical modeling techniques, and a proven track record in leading large-scale MRM initiatives. The ideal candidate will have exceptional people leadership skills, the ability to build and maintain relationships with senior leaders, business partners, and regulators, and a strategic mindset for managing compliance and regulatory requirements. A degree in a quantitative field or equivalent experience is essential, and the candidate should be adept at thinking independently and bringing innovative solutions to the table.
