The role

Our sales organization is scaling quickly, and we need a Chief of Staff who can keep pace. Youll be the right hand to the Co-Founder and Chief Revenue Officer to execute tasks and coordinate across the team. Our sales has grown over 1,200% in the last 8 months, and we are looking for someone who is an organizer, problem solver, and relationship builder who can move quickly and is not afraid to get their hands dirty. You will execute on everything from running follow-up on the CROs sales calls and maintaining HubSpot records, to interviewing for sales candidates, strategic management, project management, and coordinating across the sales team.

Responsibilities

  • Sales Administration: Serve as an extension of the CRO to take as much off his plate as possible
  • Follow-up on the CROs sales calls, answer prospect emails, prepare quotes and order forms, and join sales calls as needed
  • Maintain pristine HubSpot CRM data and run weekly pipeline hygiene checks
  • Own calendar, travel, and meeting logistics for CRO and Sales team
  • Finance Coordination: Support sales team commission tracking
  • Accounts Receivable and invoice tracking
  • Draft job postings, coordinate with recruiters, and screen resumes
  • Schedule interviews, collect feedback, and ensure a smooth candidate experience
  • Prepare day-one onboarding for new team members
  • Sales Project Management & Coordination from CRO: Work closely with the CRO to run research, identify opportunities to grow the sales team, and reach out to key stakeholders
  • Onboard new sales hires and help set them up for success
  • Drive short-term projects end-to-end (e.g., conference sponsorships, tool roll-outs)
  • Document repeatable playbooks and surface process-improvement ideas
  • Track and report weekly KPIs for Sales Ops
  • Act as the connective tissue between Account Executives, Customer Success, Field Sales Representatives, Sales Leadership, and Finance

Qualifications

  • Experience: 25+ years in sales support, executive assistance, project management, or a similar role, preferably within SaaS or GovCon
  • Financial Coordination: Experience with accounts receivable or billing coordination
  • Hiring Exposure: Familiarity with hiring processes, ATS, and conducting interviews (preferred)
  • Project Management: Strong organizational skills with multiple deadlines and stakeholders
  • Tech Savvy: Proficient with modern productivity tools, CRM systems, e-signature platforms, Google Workspace, and project management tools like Linear
  • Communication: Clear and concise with senior executives and external partners
  • Entrepreneurial Mindset: Self-directed, resourceful, and thrives in a fast-paced startup; not a 9-5 role

Location: Within a short drive of Washington, DC (DC, Northern VA, MD)
