Job Title: Industrial Forklift Operator
Position Summary:
The Industrial Forklift Operator is responsible for safely operating forklifts and other material-handling equipment to move, load, unload, and store products and materials within the facility. This role ensures efficient workflow, accurate inventory handling, and adherence to all safety regulations and company procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate industrial forklifts and other powered industrial trucks to move materials throughout the warehouse, yard, or production areas.
Load and unload materials from trucks, trailers, and storage racks.
Transport products to designated areas in a safe and timely manner.
Inspect forklifts daily and report any mechanical issues or safety concerns.
Maintain accurate records of materials moved and inventory handled.
Assist with cycle counts and inventory audits as needed.
Ensure all loads are properly secured and stacked in compliance with safety standards.
Follow all OSHA regulations, company policies, and site-specific safety protocols.
Support general warehouse duties when required, including packaging, labeling, or organizing materials.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Valid forklift operator certification/license required.
Minimum of 1–2 years of forklift operation experience in an industrial, warehouse, or manufacturing setting.
Strong knowledge of forklift safety procedures and OSHA standards.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Good communication skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Work Environment:
Warehouse, distribution center, or industrial facility environment.
Exposure to varying temperatures, noise levels, and moving machinery.
Personal protective equipment (PPE) required.
