Position Overview\n
    \n
  • \nDesign POP displays from conception to completion.\n
  • \n
  • \nDesign projects by analyzing customer specifications/requirements, for example, structural and material recommendations, testing prototypes, and creating preliminary instruction sheets.\n
  • \n
  • \nDetermine optimal production by preparing printer and die layout, creating instructions sheets and carton pack-outs for final display.\n
  • \n
  • \nExhibits an advanced understanding and problem-solving skills relating to display complexity, ease of assembly, and ease of production.\n
  • \n
  • \nEffectively communicate complete and accurate details to individual departments and liaison between the departments and clients.\n
  • \n
  • \nReceive, respond, and solve internal and external inquiries and/or complaints.\n
  • \n
  • \nInteract with the manufacturing process and complete quality checks from concept to final output.\n
  • \n
  • \nAble to work independently and in a team environment.\n
  • \n
  • \nAbility to work directly with sales and the customer, if needed.\n
  • \n
  • \nWorks with Creative Director to train and support interns and new hires.\n
  • \n
  • \nCan administer the Creative department during the Directors vacation or as needed.\n
  • \n
  • \nAssist in maintaining a complete photo library of white samples and production samples of displays.\n
  • \n
  • \nExcellent communication and organizational skills with the ability to multi-task.\n
  • \n
\nResponsibilities\n

  • Create designs, concepts, and sample layouts based on knowledge of layout principles and esthetic design concepts.
  • \n
  • Determine size and arrangement of illustrative material and copy, and select style and size of type.
  • \n
  • Confer with clients and Sales representatives to discuss and review customer requirements.
  • \n
  • Develop graphics and layouts for product illustrations and determine capability with equipment we sell.
  • \n
  • Review final layouts, give approval, explain, demonstrate and suggest improvements to clients and Sales Representatives as needed.
  • \n
  • Use computer software to generate new images and customize to meet division needs.
  • \n
  • Maintain archive of images, photos, or previous work products.
  • \n
  • Research new software or design concepts.
  • \n
  • Provide training and on going guidance to staff members, developing employee potential.
  • \n
  • Evaluate, program, and purchase equipment used in the department to develop products and services.
  • \n
\n \nQualifications\n

\nEducation: College degree in related field\nExperience: 7+ years as corrugate structural designer\nPrograms Needed:\n
