Job Description

SEACORP is seeking a well-qualified Software Engineer I.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Job Summary : SEACORP's Combat Systems Business Area is currently seeking a Software Engineer. Software Engineers research, design, develop, and test computer hardware and software programs. Entry-level Linux Developer for the Navy's AN/BYG-1 Submarine Combat System delivered to the United States Navy (USN) and Royal Australian Navy (RAN) Submarine fleet. Our close-knit team is passionate about delivering the best product to the Navy to help protect our country. Our team works closely with the Submarine community to develop solutions that allow the Navy to carry out high-stakes national security missions.
Job Responsibilities Include:
Develop and test operating systems to ensure the integration of software, hardware, reliability, maintainability, safety and other requirements in the total engineering effort.
Armoring systems for Navy certification and accreditation.
Working with external vendors and customers.
Installing tactical bays.
Configuring lab environments and specifications.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field. Agile experience preferred. Additional years of technical experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Experience : 1 year of relevant experience.
Must have solid bash and Python scripting experience.
A solid Red Hat Linux or CentOS Administration background with a working knowledge of system
Familiarity with OpenStack, Docker, Kubernetes, and other container orchestration/PaaS technologies.
Implementation and troubleshooting experience with various virtualization technologies and tools such as KVM.
Must have solid technical communication skills and organizational skills.
Ideal Skills and Experience:
Certification in Red Hat Enterprise Linux
Previous experience with the AN/BYG-1 Combat Control System
Implementation and troubleshooting experience with various virtualization technologies and tools such as KVM, or with container technologies and tools such as Docker
As a requirement of employment, all SEACORP employees must hold U.S. Citizenship
